Children and Youth
Children & Youth have Sunday school classes, weekly girls and boys groups, youth group, play group, Godly Play and Learning sessions, youth mission trips, confirmation, Lego Club, day camps and outings, choir and more. Our youth ministry is continually evolving to offer new and exciting ways to teach children about God while serving others. All children are precious and very important to us at Faith. Our teachers and adult volunteers have had thorough background checks prior to working with children. Faith UMC follows the Safe Sanctuaries policy.
Adults
Adults can join in Sunday school, weekly Bible studies, special classes, mission work and trips, chancel choir, bell choir and Praise Team Band. Adults are encouraged to grow and learn while caring for others within our congregation and beyond its walls.
Community Outreach
Several times each year we invite our neighbors to join us for events beyond worship. The annual neighborhood block party is a popular event. Our neighbors join us on the front lawn for fellowship, activities and food. Smiles abound as we build relationships with our neighbors. Each year we host an Easter egg hunt and Trunk or Treat events and invite our neighbors to join in the fun! Faith Church participates in community outreach mission projects such as Freeport Area Church Cooperative (FACC) and Kids, Coats & Clothes where food, personal care products and warm clothing is supplied to those in need. We also support missions beyond our community by sending youth and adult mission teams on mission trips each summer. Faith Church Missions has a long and rich history of supporting mission work on a local, state and international level through the efforts of UMCOR.
